The 18th match of the Big Bash League 2023-24 was played between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades. Melbourne Renegades won this match by four wickets. All the players performed very well for Melbourne Renegades and played an important role in the victory of their team.

Let us tell you, when Adelaide Strikers was batting, at one time it seemed that the team would easily cross the 200-run mark. However, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets in the same over and brought Melbourne Renegades back into the contest. Mujeeb Ur Rahman had come to bowl the 12th innings of Adelaide Strikers. Adelaide Strikers’ explosive batsman Chris Lynn hit a four in his over. Mujeeb Ur Rahman made a strong comeback soon after and showed Chris Lynn back to the pavilion on the very next ball.

Chris Lynn once again tried to hit hard in Mujeeb’s over but he was out. Not only this, in the same over, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took another wicket in his name. He also dismissed Jack Weatherald and sent him back to the pavilion. Let us tell you, in this match, Mujeeb Ur Rahman took three wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Because of his bowling, Adelaide Strikers could score only 177 runs after losing 6 wickets in 20 overs.

Melbourne Renegades won the match

Melbourne Renegades chased down the target of 178 runs with the loss of 6 wickets and 8 balls to spare. For the Melbourne team, young player Jack Fraser-McGurk played an explosive inning of 70 runs in 37 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. He did not spare any of the Adelaide Strikers bowlers and hit everyone hard.

Not only this, for Melbourne Renegades, experienced batsman Shaun Marsh played a valuable inning of 54 runs in 33 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Joe Clark contributed 28 runs. This was the first win for Melbourne Renegades this season.
