Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to Ranji Trophy after a long time and with his brilliant bowling showed the way to 5 Bengal players back to the pavilion.

Currently, the best match of the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season between Uttar Pradesh and Bengal is being played at Green Park, Kanpur. In this match, Indian team’s experienced fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly and took five wickets in the first innings.

Let us tell you, Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to Ranji Trophy after a long time and with his brilliant bowling, showed the way to 5 Bengal players back to the pavilion. In this match, Uttar Pradesh, batting first, scored only 60 runs after losing all the wickets in its first innings. Only three batsmen from the team could cross the 10-run mark.

For Uttar Pradesh, opening batsman Samarth Singh scored 13 runs in 41 balls with the help of three fours. Captain Nitish Rana and Aryan Juil scored 11 runs each. For Bengal, Mohammad Kaif took four wickets for 14 runs while Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal took three wickets. Ishan Porel took two wickets in his name.

In reply, by the end of the first day’s play, Bengal had lost five wickets for 95 runs. For Uttar Pradesh, all these five wickets were taken by experienced bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a great comeback

So far, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has shown the way to Sourav Paul, Sandeep Kumar Gharami, captain Manoj Tiwari, Abhishek Porel and Anustup Majumdar back to the pavilion in his first innings for Bengal. Shreyansh Ghosh is batting on 37* runs while Karan Lal has scored 8* runs.

The second day of the game is going to be very important for both the teams. Uttar Pradesh played its first match of this season of Ranji Trophy against Kerala which ended in a draw. Talking about Bengal, the team played its first match of this season against Andhra and it also ended in a draw.
