Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback in August last year after a long gap due to injury and since then he has been in great form. He performed brilliantly with the ball in the 2023 ODI World Cup and the recently concluded two-match Test series against South Africa. Now former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has given a big statement regarding his workload management.

Kaneria believes that with the T20 World Cup around the corner, the Indian team should manage Bumrah’s workload in the coming months. Kaneria said that Mumbai Indians (MI) should think about resting Bumrah for a few matches in the upcoming season of IPL 2024, so that he does not get injured again.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Danish Kaneria said, India needs to use Jasprit Bumrah very carefully as he is prone to injury. Especially Mumbai Indians need to understand and they should play less matches in IPL. Bumrah and India will suffer a lot due to the fatigue of playing in IPL. He is a valuable talent for the team.

Meanwhile, Danish Kaneria has praised Bumrah’s bowling in the South Africa series. He said that, Bumrah has performed brilliantly and has done so with consistency across all formats. He is one of the best bowlers of this generation. Whenever Rohit Sharma wants to win the match, Bumrah is his first choice.

In the Cape Town Test, Bumrah took 6 wickets in the second innings of South Africa. After the series was tied, Bumrah was named Player of the Series along with Dean Elgar. He was the leading wicket taker bowler of the series with 12 wickets in three innings.
