IND-W vs AUS-W: The last match of the T20 series between Indian women and Australia women’s cricket team was played on 9 January at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. Australian captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Batting first, Team India could score only 147 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Australia chased the target in just 18.4 overs and won by 7 wickets. With this victory, Australia captured the series 2-1.

Team India’s batting continues to be lackluster

There was a partnership of 39 runs for the first wicket between Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, who came to open against Australia. Shefali Verma lost her wicket after scoring 26 runs in 17 balls. Whereas Smriti Mandhana scored (29 runs). Both Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur’s bat remained calm.

Richa Ghosh played an inning of 34 runs in 28 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas Amanjout Kaur (17 runs) and Pooja Vastrakar (7 runs) played unbeaten innings. Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham took maximum 2-2 wickets against India. Megan Schutt and Ashley Gardner took 1 wicket each.

Australia batted brilliantly

Australia got a great start while chasing the target of 148 runs. There was a partnership of 85 runs for the first wicket between Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney. Alyssa Healy played an inning of 55 runs in 38 balls with the help of 9 fours and one six. Tahlia McGrath played an inning of 20 runs in 15 balls.

Australia won on the basis of Bethu Mooney’s unbeaten 52 runs in 45 balls and Phoebe Litchfield’s unbeaten inning of 17 runs. Pooja Vastrakar took 2 wickets for 26 runs in 3.4 overs, while Deepti Sharma took one wicket.
