Today i.e. on January 2, the third and final ODI match was played between the Indian women’s team and Australia. This match took place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, Australia women’s team performed very well and defeated the hosts by 190 runs.

Let us tell you, Australia clean swept the Indian women’s team in this ODI series. The first ODI match was won by Australia women’s team by 6 wickets while they won the second match by three runs. Now the team won the third and final ODI match also. All the players from Australia women’s team performed very well in this ODI series and played an important role in the victory of their team.

Talking about the third ODI match, Australia women’s team, batting first, scored 338 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs. On behalf of the team, Phoebe Litchfield batted very well and played a valuable inning of 119 runs in 125 balls with the help of 16 fours and one six. Phoebe Litchfield did not spare any player of the Indian women’s team and hit everyone hard. Apart from her, captain Alyssa Healy played a brilliant inning of 82 runs in 85 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. Ashley Gardner contributed 30 runs while Alana King scored 26*.

For the Indian team, Shreyanka Patil took three wickets after scoring 57 runs in 10 overs while Amanjot Kaur took 2 wickets. Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each.

Australia won the ODI series

The Indian team could not bat well in this match too and was all out for 148 runs. For the Indian women’s team, experienced opener Smriti Mandhana scored 29 runs while Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues contributed 25 runs each. Richa Ghosh scored 19 runs.

For Australia women’s team, Georgia Wareham took three wickets while Megan Shutt, Annabel Sutherland and Elana King took 2 wickets each. The performance of the Indian women’s team in this series was quite disappointing.
