KKR vs PBKS: The 42nd match of IPL 2024 is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens Stadium. Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first, but it cost them dearly. Batting first, KKR put 261 runs on the board at the loss of 6 wickets. There was a partnership of 138 runs for the first wicket between Sunil Narayan and Phil Salt.

Phil Salt played an inning of 75 runs in 37 balls with the help of 6 fours and as many sixes. Whereas Sunil Narayan scored 71 runs in 32 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes. Venkatesh Iyer (39) and Shreyas Iyer (28) also played solid innings. During KKR’s innings, Phil Salt, Sunil Narine and captain Shreyas Iyer hit some spectacular sixes, which remain the topic of discussion.

KKR vs PBKS: Phil Salt attacked Harshal Patel badly

The third over of Kolkata Knight Riders’ innings was bowled by Harshal Patel. The third ball of the over was a slower one, on which Phil Salt hit a powerful six towards mid-wicket, the ball went straight to the stands. On the next ball, Salt hit a four towards mid-on. Then on the fifth ball of the over, he again hit a brilliant six towards mid-wicket. A total of 18 runs were scored in this over bowled by Harshal Patel.

The fourth over was bowled by Kagiso Rabada, it was also the first over of his spell. 11 runs had come in the first four balls of the over. Rabada kept the length back on the fifth ball of the over, and tried to bowl a slower ball. But Sunil Narayan hit a hard six towards mid-wicket while pulling. Rabada hit 3 fours and a six in his first over, and a total of 21 runs came in this over.

The 18th over of Kolkata’s innings was bowled by Sam Curran. Shreyas Iyer hit the third ball of the over hard and hit a six towards deep square leg. Iyer then hit a brilliant six on the last two balls of the over towards mid-wicket and point.
