The former India opener is hopeful that the IPL 2016 champions will try to win the title in the upcoming edition of the prestigious league. They said that, “When the team was good last year, did not release too many players, and have strengthened the team further, they should finish in the top four. “I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they look close to winning the title.”
Apart from Cummins and Head, SRH bought Wanindu Hasaranga, Jaydev Unadkat, Akash Singh and J Subramanian in the auction. They also bought Shahbaz Ahmed from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) before the auction and gave Mayank Dagar to RCB in return.
