Naveen Ul Haq and KL Rahul play for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL.
Afghanistan’s star fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has praised the captaincy of star Indian batsman KL Rahul. Praising his Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain, Naveen said that, he enjoyed playing under Rahul in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is looking forward to another good season.
Ahead of India’s three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, Naveen revealed that KL Rahul has always led from the front in the IPL and he gives inspiration and freedom to the players to play freely. Apart from this, he was also impressed by Rahul’s work ethic and his style of captaincy.
Naveen Ul Haq is praising KL Rahul a lot.
In an interview with Times of India, Naveen Ul Haq said, “He (Rahul) is a great captain. I played under his captaincy last year. He leads from the front. I am excited to play under his captaincy once again. I had a great time playing under his captaincy. He is a great person. He gives freedom and inspiration to the players. His work ethic is excellent. I am really happy and feel good being a part of the team he is leading.”
Naveen-ul-Haq retained by LSG ahead of IPL 2024. He had performed well for the team in 2023, so fans will expect the same performance from him in the upcoming season also. Meanwhile, Haq will hope to continue the good bowling performances he produced in the last edition of the IPL, amid tough competition with other franchises in the league.
Talking about the performance of LSG in IPL 2023, the team made it to the knockout stage of the tournament for the second consecutive time. However, they were unable to go any further as they lost to Mumbai Indians in the playoffs. The team finished third in the group stage with 17 points from 14 matches. After failing to make the finals for two consecutive years, LSG will be hoping for a better performance in the 17th edition of the tournament.
