Today i.e. on 9th February, Indian team’s best fast bowler Mohammed Shami was honored with the Arjuna Award. Let us tell you, Mohammed Shami bowled very well in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and won the hearts of many people.
It was because of his brilliant bowling that the Indian team made its place in the finals of this important tournament. However, the team lost against Australia in the final. Mohammed Shami had taken 24 wickets in 7 matches in this entire tournament. He was the bowler who took the most wickets in this tournament. Along with this, Indian team’s brilliant batsman Virat Kohli has congratulated Mohammed Shami after receiving the Arjun Award.

He wrote on its caption, ‘Today I am feeling very honored because the President of the country has given me the Arjuna Award. This is a very proud moment for me. I would like to thank all the people because of whom I have reached here. I have seen a lot of ups and downs and many people have supported me through my difficult times. I would like to thank my coach, BCCI, teammates, family and staff. I would like to play for my country like this. Once again thanks to everyone and also to those who received the Arjun Award.

After receiving this big award, Mohammed Shami while talking to India Today said, ‘This is the biggest achievement of my life. I can’t explain how I feel. I love my game very much and always want to perform well. My family members supported me a lot and it was because of them that I was able to realize my dream.
I can’t explain at all how I started my career in Amroha and today I am playing for the Indian team. The passion was always there and I always wanted to perform well for my country.
