Pujara scored his 17th century in first class cricket

With his 17th double century, Pujara moved into joint fourth place with Herbert Sutcliffe and Mark Ramprakash in the list of most double centuries in first-class cricket. Sir Donald Bradman tops this list with 37 double centuries and England’s Wally Hammond is at second place with 36 double centuries.

This was Cheteshwar Pujara’s 61st century in first class cricket, apart from this he has also scored 77 half-centuries. Let us tell you that these statistics of Pujara also include Test records, because Test cricket statistics are also included in first class cricket. If Pujara scores some more big innings this season, then he is going to stake a claim to be in the Test team again.

Pujara was dropped from the test team

Pujara also played List A cricket for Saurashtra in November-December 2023, but his performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was not good. Earlier, he had not performed well in the final of the World Test Championship 2023, due to which he was not selected in Team India for the West Indies tour and recently on the South Africa tour also, Shubman Gill played at number three.
