Recently Cricket South Africa has announced its team for the two-match Test series against New Zealand. 7 uncapped players have been included in this South Africa team. Actually, senior players will play in SA20 2024 and this is the reason why they will not be seen playing in this Test series.

Former Australian captain Steve Waugh is very disappointed with this and has expressed his views regarding the future of Test cricket. According to Steve Waugh, this is the end of Test cricket and ICC and some other boards should come together to save it.

The former Australia captain shared the picture of the South Africa Test team on his official social media account and wrote, ‘Is this the decisive time for the end of Test cricket? Certainly the ICC, along with the cricket boards of India, England and Australia, should take major steps to avoid the demise of this game.

He further wrote, ‘First of all all Test players should be paid premium and equal match fees. History must be good about something. If we stand by and look at the statistics, the legacies of Bradman, Grace and Sobers will be destroyed.
