The 45th match of IPL 2024 is being played today between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore. These two teams are facing each other for the first time in the season. Talking about the match, RCB won the toss and decided to bowl. Glenn Maxwell has returned to Royal Challengers Bangalore for this match. Whereas, Gujarat Titans have entered the match without any changes.

Gujarat got a shock in the very first over

The first blow to Gujarat Titans came on the score of just six runs. Swapnil Singh came to bowl the first over of the innings for RCB and he made Wriddhiman Saha his victim on the last ball. He could score only five runs. After that Sai Sudarshan came to bat at number three. When the powerplay ended, Gujarat’s score was 42 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. The team needed to increase the pace of runs from here but Gujarat again suffered a second big blow.

Glenn Maxwell dismissed Shubman Gill

Glenn Maxwell gave the second blow to Gujarat. He dismissed captain Shubman Gill in the first over of his comeback match. Shubhman Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 16 runs. Gill batted at a strike rate of 84 in 19 balls which is very poor. Shubhman Gill fired a shot towards long-on and Cameron Green took a good catch running to his left in the deep. Gujarat Titans have currently lost both the opening batsmen.

After Shubman Gill played a flop innings today, the fans trolled him a lot for his slow innings. Some users are saying that Gill has played the match considering it to be a test match while some are saying that how will we take such a player to the World Cup. Talking about Shubman Gill’s IPL 2024 season, he has scored 320 runs in 10 matches in which his best score was 89 not out.
