In the 5th match of WPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB-W) has defeated Gujarat Giants (GG-W) by 8 wickets. RCB achieved the target of 108 runs set by Gujarat by losing only 2 wickets in the 13th over. Smriti Mandhana played the highest innings of 43 runs for the team. With this, this is RCB’s second consecutive win in the tournament and it continues to top the points table.

Chasing the easy target of 108 runs, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team reached the target with a bang. He achieved the target by losing 2 wickets in just 12.3 overs. Gujarat bowlers looked ineffective against the aggressive batting of Smriti Mandhana. Before getting out, Mandhana scored 43 runs in 27 balls with the help of 8 fours and one six.
Whereas Sophie Devine could score only 6 runs. However, after this no other wicket of RCB fell. S Meghna and Alice Perry played responsibly and took the team to the threshold of victory. Meghna returned unbeaten after scoring 36 runs and Elise Perry 23 runs.

Gujarat Giants, who came to bat first after losing the toss, did not have a good start and Renuka Thakur bowled out captain Beth Mooney on a personal score of 8 runs in the third over. Hemlata scored useful 31 runs
Dayalan Hemlata was the top scorer for Gujarat Giants. He added some important runs for the team in the last overs. He scored unbeaten 31 runs in 25 balls with the help of two fours and one six. Whereas Harleen Deol played an inning of 22 runs.
