Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) announced the team for Sri Lanka tour

Craig Erwin with Sri Lanka tour Zimbabwe Cricket Team All set to return as captain. Actually, Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has today announced the teams for the upcoming three-match ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka on January 1.

Craig Erwin will lead the Zimbabwe cricket team in the ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour, while veteran all-rounder Sean Williams will miss the upcoming tour due to the injury he sustained in the second T20I against Ireland last month. Captain Erwin has recovered from a groin problem so he has been included in both the ODI and T20I squads.

Uncapped offspinner Tapiwa Mufudza, who impressed everyone with 18 wickets in the Pro50 Championship 2023, has been included in Zimbabwe’s ODI squad for the first time. Let us tell you that this memorable match between the two teams was played on October 23, 2022, which was one of the best matches in the history of T20 cricket. India was playing the match against arch-rival Pakistan in front of more than 90 thousand spectators at MCG. Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 160 runs for India to win. However, when India set out to chase this target, its start was nothing special. At one time, India had lost four wickets for 31 runs, and when Suryakumar Yadav was out after scoring 15 runs in the match, WinPredictor was giving 2-3% chances of India’s victory. Rohit said- 90,000 people in the stadium, we were in a little trouble with our batting. We lost some wickets early. I was a very nervous person, I was sitting inside the changing room, I was not watching it live because obviously, when the last over was being bowled, it was very tense. But, I came out and enjoyed that moment also.

The first test match between Bangladesh and South Africa is being played in Dhaka. So the third day of the game ended today on 24th October. At stumps on the third day, the hosts led South Africa by 81 runs. Earlier, Bangladesh was all out for just 106 runs in the first innings. South Africa scored 308 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 202 runs over hosts Bangladesh. After this, Bangladesh could not show anything special in the second innings and lost 6 wickets for 112 runs. But after this, a partnership of 138 runs was seen for the 7th wicket between Mehdi Hasan Miraj (87*) and Zakir Ali (58), due to which Bangladesh made a comeback in the match to some extent. At the time of stump on the third day, Bangladesh had scored 283 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the second innings after 85 overs. Currently, Miraj is present at the crease with 87* and Naeem Hasan with 16*. At the end of the day’s play, a big statement from South African spinner Keshav Maharaj has come out.
